A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress Ondo state, Dr Paul Akintelure, has congratulated Senator Ayo Akinyelure on the latter’s defection from the PDP to the APC.
Ayo Akinyelure, who represented Ondo central senatorial district in the 9th national assembly joined the APC on Saturday in his hometown with thousands of his followers and was received by the state chairman of the party Ade Adetimehin.
In a statement made available to TheReports by his campaign DG, Hon. Mukaila Musa, Dr Akintelure hailed the former senators for his wise decision in joining the ruling party.
Akintelure, who is the leading aspirant of the APC for the 2024 governorship election in Ondo state noted that the former lawmaker is a great addition to the party.
The medical practitioner said, “I would like to extend a warm and hearty welcome to you. I are truly delighted that you have chosen to join our party and become a part of our political family. Your decision to align yourself with the values and principles of the progressives is greatly appreciated, and I believe that your membership will enrich our collective efforts to bring about meaningful change.
