The deputy governor of Ondo state, Dr Olayide Adelami, has said one of the priorities of the Aiyedatiwa-led government is human capital development.
Adelami made the revelation while receiving elders from his political ward of Ugboroko 2 Ward 3, and members of Club 93, at his residence in Owo, at different times, on Sunday.
At the two meetings, the deputy governor emphasized the ripple effect of human capital development, as he restated the commitment of Governor Aiyedatiwa to improving the quality of lives of the people of the state.
He said, “we must deliberately promote entrepreneurship and skill acquisition among our young ones. This has been my passion long before I became the deputy governor and fortunately, it aligns with that of my principal’s.
“Youth development is top on the agenda of Mr Governor and he is pursuing this with a lot of commitment”
While meeting with the Ugboroko APC elders, led by a former Chairman of Owo council area, Alhaji Abimbola Fabolude, the deputy governor said “the ward, being one of the most politically conscious bases in Owo, boasts of bigwigs and as such, must be a trailblazer”
Commending the deputy governor, Alhaji Fabolude praised him for his selfless service to his community of Owo and most importantly, for being the rallying point for every political player in the town.
“This election is not about political party but the overall development of our dear state” Adelami charged members of Club 93.
He further stated that “though our great party, the APC is the vehicle through which we will move Ondo state to the next level of progress, I urge you to tell your people to vote en masse for us in November. So the good work can continue”
Speaking on behalf of Club 93, the president, Mr Oladimeji Gani, said the club came to congratulate the deputy governor for the APC victory at the primary, pledging the association’s unreserved loyalty to the Aiyedatiwa/Adelami project.
