…says Ondo will be stronger and more united
The Otunba of Ikale land, Dr Paul Akintelure, has extended his heartfelt wishes to Muslims across Ondo state and beyond on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Adha.
Akintelure, in a statement obtained by TheReports, rejoiced with Muslim faithful in the state in acknowledgement of the sacrifices associated with the festival, which he believes are strong proofs of faith and obedience.
The former running-mate to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu during the 2012 governorship election in Ondo state enjoined Muslims to always reflect on Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) sacrifice in relating with other humans, both Muslims and non-Muslims.
The statement partly read, “I extend my warmest greetings to the Muslim community in Ondo State on the joyous occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.
“With deep respect for the rich traditions and cultural diversity within our state, I embrace the spirit of unity and harmony that Eid-el-Kabir represents and acknowledge the sacrifices made during this auspicious period while admiring the devotion and commitment demonstrated by the Muslim community.
“On this joyous occasion, I extend my heartfelt wishes to all Muslims, their families, and loved ones.
“It is my prayer that this Eid brings immense joy, peace, and blessings to your lives.”
The medical professional urged all residents of Ondo state to come together to “build a stronger and more united Ondo State, where everyone can pursue their dreams and aspirations”.
“Let us also not forget our governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON in our prayers, as we look forward to his returning to office in good health after his medical leave” the statement added.
