Eid-al-adha; Ondo Deputy Governor prays with Owo Muslim faithful, rallies support for Tinubu’s reform agenda

Dr Olayide Adelami, Ondo state deputy governor, has asked Nigerians to support the president in his bid to reform critical sectors of the economy.

The deputy governor made the plea in Owo on Sunday, as he joined muslims at the Eid praying ground.

He said, “Though, things may appear not too smooth at the moment but it is for us to have a lasting economic prosperity in the end. We must continue to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and our dear governor of the sunshine state.”

He enjoined the Muslim faithful to continue to live in harmony with people of other faith.

“My visit here is a testament to the enduring unity and love among Owo people, regardless of religious and political affiliations. Owo is truly one. Please do not stop accommodating people of other faith.

“Mr Governor sent his greetings and asked me to urge you to intensify your prayers for our dear country and the state. He firmly believes Nigeria is destined for greatness” Adelami said.

In his sermon, the Chief Imam of Owo and chairman, league of Imams and Alfas in Ondo state, Sheihk Ahmad Aladesawe said “every presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections was in support of fuel subsidy removal, which means it was the right thing to do at the time”

The Chief Imam remarked that “It is not easy for the president to bring back, within the space of one year, an economy that has been in a bad shape for several years and no leader wants things to go bad in his time”

He expressed optimism that God will soon turn around the fortunes of the country, as he called on Nigerians not to relent in their prayers and support for the president.
