Not less than 8 of the kidnapped choristers of CAC Oke Igan, Akure have been rescued.
The PRO of the Ondo state command of the Nigeria Police Force announced this on Saturday.
The choristers were kidnapped along Ifon-Benin expressway on Friday.
The PRO, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, who disclosed this to newsmen explained that, “They were on their way to a wake keep.
“On getting to Ajagbale via Elegbeka on ifon/Owo expressway, they were accosted by 5 unknown gunmen.
“The gunmen shot sporadically and forcefully took them into the bush.
“Efforts are on to rescue others unhurt” she concluded.
