Abuja, Nigeria – In a significant milestone, the Minister of Interior, Hon. Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, alongside the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, inspected the soon-to-be commissioned command and control facility at the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) headquarters in Sauka, Abuja.
This cutting-edge facility, built by a Nigerian company and certified by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), boasts a 1.4 PetaBytes (PB) Tier 4 Data Center, marking the end of a 17-year wait. The new command center will integrate all migration activities, enabling close monitoring from a central observatory command by qualified officers.
This development demonstrates the commitment of the Nigerian government, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), to fulfilling the #RenewedHope mandate and delivering a superior experience for Nigerians.
The new facility is poised to revolutionize border management security in Nigeria, positioning the country as a leader in innovative solutions for effective migration control.
