ONDO 2024: REMAIN FOCUSED, IGNORE DETRACTORS — WOMEN ORGANISATION TASKS OLADUNNI ODU

…assures her of massive women support for her aspiration

A women development advocate, politician and leading aspirant in the race to Alagbaka Government House, Princess Catherine Oladunni Odu, has been encouraged to avoid distractions to her aspiration to govern the state from next year.

In a letter of solidarity to the aspirant, which was made available to TheReports, the ‘Women Network for Good Leadership’ said women of Ondo state are delighted that the coast is clear for a woman to be governor, adding that they are more excited knowing that when she becomes governor her performance in office will be the platform for more women to be trusted with such high office all over Nigeria.

“We are glad that Ondo state will produce the first elected female governor in Nigeria by God’s grace as Princess Odu is the most politically experienced, administratively knowledgeable, and vastly exposed to Leadership issues, of all the people showing interest in the number one seat in the state.

“We urge Princess Odu to ignore the machinations of political fraudsters peddling rumours about her planned withdrawal from the race, as well as those who say the state is not ripe for a female governor”

Women Network for Good Leadership appealed to the All Progressives Congress, APC, to once again show that it is truly progressive by giving the ticket of the party to Princess Odu who has all it takes to give the state good governance and make the party proud.

The statement, which was signed by the organisation’s President, Ariyike Adesola, affirmed that women in Ondo state have the numbers to win the election, adding that they are now more politically conscious than ever before.

It enjoined more women to prepare for leadership positions by developing their capacities instead of complaining about marginalisation, as Ondo state people are too politically mature to put sentiment above sound reasoning during political contests.

The group emphasised that Nigeria is blessed with too many resources to remain a third world country, adding that the missing link is development-focused and sincere leaders to harness the resources for the common good of all.

The organisation promised to mobilise men, women and the youth to vote for a leadership that is people-centred which Princess Odu represents.
