Ondo State Set to Become a Top Global Tourist Destination

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming the state into a premier tourist hub. Speaking at the Cross Creek’s Captain’s Inaugural Golf Tournament in Akure, the governor expressed his vision for Ondo State to become a top global destination for tourists.

The golf tournament, held at the Ilado community in Akure South, brought together golf enthusiasts from across the country and showcased the state’s potential for sports tourism. The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, commended the founder of the golf club, Mr. Shola Abidakun, for his efforts in developing the golf course and contributing to the state’s tourism goals.

The deputy governor, who is also a golfer, expressed excitement about the progress made at the golf course and assured the host community and golf club of the government’s support for infrastructure development, including roads, electricity supply, and healthcare facilities. This investment is expected to boost the local economy and make Ondo State a world-class tourist destination.

The event was attended by traditional rulers, including the host monarch, and other dignitaries, and marked an important step towards achieving the state’s tourism goals.
