… Says 9th Assembly, Akeredolu worked tirelessly for everyone.
The Commissioner representing Ondo State on the governing board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Hon. Gbenga Edema, has congratulated Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji ‘Landmark’, the newly inaugurated Speaker, and Rt. Hon. Abayomi Akinruntan, the Deputy Speaker of the 10th Ondo State House of Assembly on their emergence as heads of the state’s legislative arm.
Edema, a former member of the Assembly, in a statement issued on Sunday, felicitated the other principal officers and members of the newly inaugurated Assembly, and emphasised the need for optimal collaboration and cooperation with Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
He congratulated the Majority Leader, Hon. Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi, and the Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. (Princess) Tosin Ogunlowo Ajirotutu, for their emergence as part of the principal officers of the Assembly.
Edema also extended his congratulatory message to the Chief Whip, Hon. Tunde Fasonu; the Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. Toyin Japheth; Parliamentary Secretary, Hon. Moyinoluwa Ogunwumiju; Deputy Parliamentary Secretary; Hon. Ololade Gbegudu; Minority Leader, Hon. Olajide Oguntodu; and Deputy Minority Leader, Hon. Oluwatoyin Daudu.
According to him, the newly inaugurated Speaker and Deputy Speaker must prioritise the interests of the people of Ondo State and work towards achieving common goals with the governor.
The statement personally signed by him stressed that collaboration and cooperation between the legislative and executive arms of government are essential for the effective governance of the state and the delivery of services to the people.
With the new leaders and members of the 10th Assembly expected to steer the affairs of the House with integrity, wisdom, and dedication, Edema lauded the immediate past Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun, and his deputy, Rt. Hon. Samuel Aderoboye, for successfully completing their tenure.
While lauding the ninth Assembly for working tirelessly to ensure smooth legislative processes, Edema, a former lawmaker in the Assembly, also commended them for giving necessary support to Akeredolu in implementing policies and programmes for the benefit of the people.
He said: “I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to you on your recent inauguration as the leaders of the Ondo State House of Assembly. It is indeed a great honour to be entrusted with such a significant responsibility, and I am confident that you will lead the House with integrity, wisdom, and dedication.

On the completion of the tenure of the ninth Assembly, Edema further expressed his gratitude for the enormous support that Oleyelogun and Aderoboye gave to Akeredolu, which he said had been essential in ensuring good governance and the provision of necessary infrastructure and services to the people of the state.
