STARLINK LAUNCHES IN NIGERIA

Starlink, an internet service provider Owned and funded by Space enthusiast, Elon Musk, has launched its internet service in Nigeria.

In a post shared on its twitter page, Starlink said its service is now active in Nigeria and in the south American country of Peru.

Starlink’s high-speed and low-latency service is made possible via the world’s largest constellation of highly advanced satellites operating in a low orbit around the Earth.

Starlink’s internet speed when tested in certain areas was about 238Mbps download and 161Mbps upload, which was described by tech experts as “blazing!”.

The Service right comes at a pre-order price of N274,098 and a monthly subscription of N19,260 as contained in a statement on the company’s website.

While confirming the development, the minister of communications and digital economy, Isa Pantami, described it as a milestone achievement for the country.
