AKINTELURE WRITES APC LEADERS, APPRECIATES THEIR SUPPORT

…says no going back on governorship aspiration

The Araba of Ikale land, Dr Paul Akintelure, has said he has no intention to back down in his quest to be the next governor of Ondo state.

Akintelure, who was the running mate of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in the 2012 Ondo governorship election, made this known in a letter sent to some leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state who are clamouring for him to take over from Akeredolu in 2025.

The letter, signed by Akintelure and sent personally to each of the leaders read, “My dear leader, I send my greetings.

“I have read, watched, and listened with profound satisfaction to your contributions to my governorship aspiration in Ondo State come 2024. And I have come to the conclusion that you are a force to reckon with.

“I am delighted to note that I am in a progressive coterie. And I dare say, with you behind me, I can unmask a masquerade! Have no doubt that all I’s are being dotted and T’s being crossed.

“I am open to advice as you are already doing. I am determined, focused and tenacious.

“Please, I ask of these: Initiative, Intelligence and Integrity in all our endeavours. Rest assured, on this aspiration, there is no retreat, no surrender.

“It is my wont to recognize relationships, particularly in times of trials and struggles. I, therefore, rejoice with you that your name has already been in the “book of life”.

“As for your coinage, ‘DPA For Governor Ondo 2024’, I concur with you wholeheartedly – not an inch more, not an inch less.

“Please accept the assurances of my esteemed regards.”
