Breaking News: Dependants of Care and Support Workers Can Now Apply for Visa

In a significant update to the UK’s immigration rules, dependants of care and support workers can now apply for a visa alongside the main applicant. This development brings an end to the long-standing anxiety faced by many families.

According to the latest guidance published on the UK Government’s website, dependant partners and children of care and support workers can apply for a visa as part of the main applicant’s application. This includes husbands, wives, civil partners, unmarried partners, and children under 18 (or over 18 if they are currently in the UK as a dependant).

To qualify, dependants must provide evidence of their relationship to the main applicant and demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to support themselves while in the UK. Each family member will need to complete a separate application and pay the required visa fee.

This update is a welcome relief for care and support workers who have long faced uncertainty about their families’ immigration status. The change is expected to benefit many families and enable them to live and work in the UK without fear of separation.
