…salutes Akeredolu and Adetimehin for exemplary leadership
…describes NDDC appointees from the state as worthy APC members.
Ondo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress has been described as a great example for other chapters to emulate in terms of proper coordination, effective running, peace, harmony and attracting more people into the family.
Secretary to Ondo State Government, Princess Catherine Oladunni Odu, made the submission while speaking to newsmen in Lagos.
Odu, who was answering questions on the performance of the Akeredolu administration in the last six and a half years, said one of the major factors that had contributed to its success is the fact that the APC which produced the government has stayed focused, cohesive and in-tune with the people, serving as a strategic go-between from the people to the government and vice-versa.
She commended the leader of the party in the state, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON for always ensuring that the party is not severed from the people, adding that the Chairman of the party, Engr. Ade Adetimehin has succeeded in making the APC attractive to the people through effective networking.
“Governor Akeredolu and the Party Chairman are very mature and focused men who always put the collective interest of party members and the generality of the people above personal desires, so it is easy for members to trust them and be loyal to the party.”
The SSG, who expressed confidence that the party will continue to wax strong, harped on the need for members to keep up the good work they are doing individually and collectively to ensure that the flag of the APC continues to tower above all others at all times.
Princess Odu, who is a former Chairman of SUBEB in the state and a former Commissioner for Education, noted that the biggest strength of the APC lies in the fact that every member of the party is seen as equal.
“Any family which respects the rights and opinions of each member will always be strong like the broom. APC in Ondo state truly symbolises the strength of the broom and we will remain unbreakable.”
She thanked all members for respecting the leadership and ideals of the party with a promise that their welfare will always be prioritized.
On the recent NDDC appointments, Princess Odu described the beneficiaries from Ondo State, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde and Hon. Otito Atikase, as deserving, considering their loyalty to the party and efforts to ensure its success at all times.
Odu congratulated both of them, wished them well and expressed the conviction that they will uphold the confidence of the party and the people of Ondo state.
